Meet Tracy Jackson
Tracy Jackson was born and raised in Sampson County. His parents
Frank and Faye Jackson taught Tracy the values of faith, family and
giving back to the community. Growing up in Clinton, Tracy learn the meaning of hard work, a good education and serving to help his fellow-
man. Tracy has more than 15 years of experience in law enforcement. He holds an Advance Certification and serves as law enforcement
instructor at several local community colleges. Tracy has served as a Sampson County deputy sheriff and now
serves as Chief of Police in Stedman, where he has built
the agency up from the ground level.
“I believe in giving back to the community. I have served as a
volunteer coach at Clinton High and Sampson Middle School
because I believe in making sure our next generation gets a good
foundation in life and they learn the values my parents taught me
which will help them in their future success.”
For 20 years, Tracy and his family were active in farming with a turkey growing operation contracted with Butterball.
Tracy and his wife, Natalie Jones Jackson, have four children, and two grandchildren. He has served as a Deacon at the Clinton Community Church and on the Board of Directors at the Sampson Community
Theatre Board for 11 years. Tracy’s sister Terri Jackson Shaffer and her husband live in the Plain View community, where Andy, serves as
Pastor of The Journey Church.
“Sampson County is in my blood line. I know the county. I know the
people. I know I can better serve our citizens as your next Sheriff.”
I want this campaign to be about serving our citizens and supporting our deputies, detention officers and support staff. At the Stedman PD, we have a sign in office that reads:
