Let’s Put Sampson County First
My Priorities as Sheriff
Folks, we need new leadership and a new direction in our
Sheriff’s Office. Serving as Sheriff isn’t a lifelong appointment.
The people of Sampson County decide who’s going to serve as
our county’s chief law enforcement officer. Working to protect
the people of Sampson County, I know we need to improve
operations in our Sheriff’s Office. We need a Sheriff who
respects our Sampson County Taxpayers and will work to be
accountable, responsive and transparent.
Leading Priorities
Supporting Our Deputies, Detention Officers, and Staff
I will ensure competitive salary schedules to retain and recruit the best deputies, detention officers, and support staff. I will also prioritize the mental and physical well-being of our team, creating a positive and supportive work environment for all employees including deputies, detention officers, and administrative staff.
Accountability and Transparency
Sampson County deserves a Sheriff who is
accountable, transparent, and committed
to working closely with county commissioners
and residents. My focus will be on delivering
the best possible service to our community
with honesty and integrity.
Local Drug Enforcement
Our deputies should be protecting Sampson
County first, not being pulled across the state.
I will make at-home drug enforcement a top priority by targeting fentanyl and opioid dealers who prey on our young men and
women. My commitment is to put Sampson
County first.
Fraud Protection for Our Seniors
I will expand fraud protection programs to
safeguard our elderly population from online
predators and scams. Protecting our seniors
from financial exploitation will be a central
part of my mission.
Combating Human Trafficking
I will lead new efforts to fight human trafficking
in our communities. My goal is to ensure our
young people are protected from predators
both online and in person and to hold
traffickers fully accountable.
Utilizing Technology and Reducing
Gang Violence
I will partner with local and regional law
enforcement agencies as well as county
commissioners to invest in modern
technology that prevents crime, reduces gang
activity, and combats gun violence. I will
establish a dedicated Gang Task Force to
crack down on drugs, gangs, and youth violence. If elected,
I will make it clear that gangs and violent
crime have no place in Sampson County.
